Dressing for the care of pet wounds, the SureKlot patch is a bioactive haemostatic dressing. It operates on a unique mechanism of mucoadhesion based on the electrical charge that forms a mechanical barrier on the bleeding area. The manufacturing technology is not an impregnated compress, but is 100% chitosan, without residues of powder or thermal reaction. NATURAL POLYSACCHARIDE composed of nanomers of glucosamine and N-acetyl glucosamine = cationic charged Chitosan (+Ve). The chitosan has been treated to lose its acid charge of (6.4 PH) for a physiological PH of (7.4 PH). Its removal is very easy with water, so it must always be protected from moisture and water with as watertight a bandage as possible, as for all devices impregnated with chitosan or not (100%).
It is a new generation Indian haemostatic device, revolutionary PBT Protonated Bioadhesive Technology design (innovation award 2024 in India). These preparations are unique in that they adhere to tissues when necessary and detach easily when their work is done.
The patch version is simple to use on the surface and it is convenient to carry thanks to its compact and thin packaging. It stops light to heavy bleeding and can be torn by hand, folded, rolled and also inserted into the wound.

Operation • Application of SUREKLOT in the wound • The negatively charged blood immediately adheres to the positively charged SUREKLOT • Absorption of plasma and increase in platelet and erythrocyte concentration • Platelet activation triggering the intrinsic coagulation pathway • Formation of a platelet coagulation preventing the blood from flowing by counter pressure • Wrap with cellophane, a compressive bandage or an elastic band see with medical tape (medic tape). • Indications • Lacerations • Abrasions • Surgical debridement sites • Surface puncture sites • Vascular procedure sites and sites involving percutaneous catheters, tubes and pins
