Dressing for pet wound care, SureKlot patch is a bioactive haemostatic dressing. It operates on a unique mucoadhesion mechanism based on the electric charge that forms a mechanical barrier over the bleeding area. The manufacturing technology is not an impregnated pad, but is 100% chitosan, without powder residue or thermal reaction. Natural POLYSACCHARIDE composed of glucosamine and N-acetyl glucosamine nanomeres = Cationic Chitosan (+Ve). The chitosan has been treated to lose its acidic charge of (6.4 PH) to a physiological PH of (7.4 PH). Its removal is very easy with water, so it is important to always protect it from humidity and water with a bandage as waterproof as possible, as for all chitosan devices, impregnated or not (100%).
This is a new generation of Indian haemostatic device, PBT Protonated Bioadhesive Technology, revolutionary design (Innovation Award 2024 in India). These preparations are unique in that they adhere to tissues when needed and easily detach when their work is finished.
The patch version is easy to use on the surface and it is convenient to carry around thanks to its compact and thin packaging. It stops minor to major bleeding and can be torn by hand, folded, rolled and also inserted into the wound.
Features: • 100% chitosan on compress (not soaked) • Non-irritating, non-exothermic, non-toxic and biocompatible • Easy to apply • Instantly stops moderate to severe bleeding • Can be cut, folded and inserted into a deep wound • Painless removal by irrigation with a saline solution • Certifications: CE Certification / ISO13485/2016 • Country of origin: India • 5 year shelf life Active on all sides • Lightweight and robust packaging • Dimensions: 8 x 7 cm (6.5 g) • Sold individually
Operating • Application of SUREKLOT in the wound • Negatively charged blood immediately adheres to positively charged SUREKLOT • Plasma absorption and platelet and hematite concentration increase • Platelet activation triggers the intrinsic coagulation pathway • Platelet coagulation formation preventing blood from flowing by counter pressure • Wrap with cellophane, a compressive bandage or an elastic band, or with medical tape (medic tape). • Indications • Lacerations • Abrasions • Surgical debridement sites • Surface puncture sites • Vascular procedure sites and sites involving percutaneous catheters, tubes and pins.
