Neoprene waders are the most well-known and still the most used for all types of fishing. However, among all the waders, they are surpassed by the breathable waders. Indeed, neoprene waders are a bit heavier and warmer than other materials, which makes them difficult to use in the summer for example, you risk suffocating with them, except for mountain rivers that stay cool all year round. They are also heavy, so they are more bothersome if you have to walk kilometers between your car and your fishing spots for the day. On the other hand, they are thick which is an advantage to resist sharp rocks or brambles, or to sit and take a break if you only have rocks around you to settle during the day. Many neoprene waders are available with integrated boots, but for fly fishing you will take a stocking to which you will add wading shoes, it will be much more comfortable for walking. You will also find PVC waders, wading trousers, as well as fishing thigh boots and wader repair accessories in this very well-stocked aisle.
