The BASIX Weighing Sack (as well as the Basix Unhooking Mat) are perfect for those who are young, beginner anglers, those on a budget, occasional fishers, and anyone who simply does not want to spend a lot of money to ensure that fish safety is a priority, but not a compromise.
NOTE: The Basix Weighing Sack MUST NOT be used as a retention sack
This is a traditional weighing sack, but with a few extra features. It has been designed to allow you to safely transfer fish from the water to your unhooking mat, and vice versa, as well as weighing them. This is not a retention sack and cannot be used as such. This weigh sling is manufactured from durable nylon material and is long and deep enough to weigh all the carp you are likely to catch. It features strong, light, two-piece metal bars, to give rigidity and make the weighing process safer for the fish. When not in use, the bars can easily be folded away and stored in its minimalist bag. The length of the bag once folded allows it to slide into Basix Unhooking Mat. A tough strap is attached to the bars and gives good balance when hung from the scales hook. The base of the sling has plenty of drainage holes, so once the fish is transferred into the rolled-up net, the water will quickly drain away when you lift it to carry it back to your mat. A high-quality zip at each end of the strap ensures the fish cannot slip out during transport or weighing. The sling has been designed to float, to allow easy transfer between the fish and the rolled up net in the water.
