The Speed is a model designed to catch a large number of fish, a stable model that sets and stabilises very quickly, allowing you to see a bite as soon as the bait settles, perfect for use with a positive, bulky-style set-up. The quick-setting nature of this float comes from the fact that it is a down body design, with the tapered body in a teardrop shape with the bottom of the body more rounded for more stability and the top part of the body gently tapering to the bristle.

This shape also means that the float is perfect for descending into the water when using baits like bloodworm or bread punch and it rises incredibly cleanly from the water. The fibreglass tips are very sensitive, but unlike many silverfish type floats, we have introduced a slightly thicker tip so that they are clearly visible, especially on the smaller sizes likely to be used in difficult light conditions on smaller channels and drains.

The variations of wire and carbon stems in all sizes mean that anglers have options for super stable wire float types for tough conditions, and carbon versions for faster fishing to reduce tangles.

Available sizes (metal stem and carbon stem): 0.2 g, 0.4 g, 0.6 g, 0.8 g, 1 g

The range of Guru natural pole floats explained:

This particular range of floats has been in development for a long time, we are pretty sure you've seen various samples being used by our consultants in films for quite some time now! However, we've continually tweaked and expanded the range during the design and manufacturing phase in order to produce a complete collection of floats suitable for a diverse range of tasks on natural venues across rivers, canals and stillwaters. At last, they are here!

The range includes eight different models covering many shapes and sizes, all having specific uses in different situations. You will undoubtedly have noticed that the floats have been thoroughly trialled and tested by our team of international anglers, with personalities like Matt Godfrey, James Dent, Steve Ringer, Frankie Gianoncelli and Andy Bennett all contributing to their production. Great attention and many changes have been made to stem and bristle lengths and diameters, so each size is unique and perfect for the situation in question.

The key feature that sets this range of floats apart from anything we or others have ever produced before is the Elastilex paint finish, which gives the floats ultimate strength, durability and longevity. This finish means that the high-quality balsa bodies of the float are protected by an ultra-thin and incredibly durable elastic coating that wraps the body, preventing any body damage due to wear, impacts or line cuts, thus reducing the chances of floats taking on water. The paint finish is dark in colour, which according to our top anglers was important as these floats are being used on clear, natural venues, the dark body blending into the water allowing ultimate focus on the high visibility bristles.

Features:
• Quick-setting float
• Down body design
• Thicker and visible tip
• Carbon and wire versions
