Although these floats have similar properties to the Skimmer in terms of stems, bristles and sensitivity, it's the body shape that sets them apart, displaying a much rounder profile. This gives the float ultimate stability and allows it to be easily controlled in current water conditions, perfect for use on rivers.
The body shape means that the float can be kept static or held against the flow to achieve some type of presentation in moving water, slowing down the bait without the float body emerging from the water. Due to the rounder shape of this model's body, if the line passes around the outside of the body at a sharp angle, it can damage the line, particularly when moving the float up or down. To overcome this issue, these floats come with an in-line system with a small piece of silicone running through the float, completely eliminating line damage.
The metal stem versions of the float are suited to situations where stability is a priority, offering the ability to maintain a super stable and static bait even in difficult and windy conditions. The carbon stem version is better suited to fast fishing situations where reducing tangles is a priority on a fast in-and-out expedition, or when looking to hook fish on the drop, allowing the float to “follow” the shot down as it falls through water. The carbon itself is slim for ultimate performances, passing through water cleanly so you don't have any bothersome delays when skimming the surface in calm weather.
Available sizes (metal stem and carbon stem): 0.5 g, 0.75 g, 1 g, 1.5 g, 2 g, 2.5 g, 3 g, 4 g.
Explanation of the Guru Natural Pole float range:
This specific range of floats has been in development for a long time, we're almost certain you've seen various samples being used by our consultants and in films for some time now! However, we've consistently fine-tuned and expanded the range during its design and production stages to come up with a comprehensive collection of floats suited to a diverse range of tasks on natural venues across rivers, canals and stillwaters. At last, they're here!
The range includes eight different models covering many shapes and sizes, all having specific uses in different situations. You've undoubtedly noticed the floats have been thoroughly tried and tested by our international team of anglers, with characters such as Matt Godfrey, James Dent, Steve Ringer, Frankie Gianoncelli and Andy Bennett all contributing to their production. Great attention and multiple modifications have been made to stem and bristle lengths and diameters, meaning every size is unique and perfect for the situation at hand.
The key feature setting this range of floats apart from anything we or others have ever produced before is the Elastilex paint finish, giving the floats ultimate resilience, durability and longevity. This finish means the high-quality balsa bodies of the floats are protected by an ultra thin yet incredibly tough elastic coating that wraps the body, preventing any body damage from wear, impacts or line cuts, thereby reducing the risk of the floats taking on water. The paint finish is dark in colour, which, according to our lead anglers, was important as these floats have been used on clear, natural venues, the dark body blending into the water allowing for ultimate focus on the high visibility bristles.
Features: • Round body profile • Ultimate stability • Inline system to prevent line damage • Carbon and wire versions
