The Major Craft Eely Shad is a particularly effective and versatile soft lure, designed to mimic a sand eel, a sought-after prey of marine predators such as bass, wolf fish or meagre. This lure is available in several sizes: 7.5 cm, 9.5 cm, 13 cm, and 16 cm, with weights ranging from 4.1 g to 39.2 g, allowing its use in a variety of fishing situations, from the surface to deep waters.

Technical uses:
• Surface fishing: For shallow waters or when fish are hunting near the surface, the lighter 7.5 cm and 9.5 cm models are recommended. Their lightness allows a natural swim just below the surface, ideal with a linear retrieval or in a sawtooth pattern. These lures create a vibrating action that attracts predators even in conditions of low activity.
• Mid-depth fishing: The 13 cm model (22.3 g) is suitable for middle water layers. Use it with a "stop-and-go" animation to imitate an injured fish. It is perfect for attracting more wary predators, while remaining in the hunting zone where they are often found.
• Deep fishing: The heaviest model, 16 cm (39.2 g), is ideal for deep-water fishing or in strong currents. Thanks to its quick descent, this model is effective in vertical jigging or during fast retrievals.
• Low visibility conditions: In addition to its dynamic design, the Eely Shad is available in colours suitable for murky or dimly lit waters, like the Tennessee Shad or the Laser Chart Yamame, offering high visibility underwater.
