Among all the
pikeperch lures, it's not immediately obvious to think of fishing for
pikeperch with a spinnerbait, indeed we are more used to choosing a
pike spinnerbait or a
black bass spinner. However, a specific type of fishing can be practised to search for pikeperch with a spinner.
It is particularly effective with Colorado pallettes to slow down the descent, or otherwise known as "free falling" alongside obstacles, cliffs or around the base of bridges. For this, a medium spinnerbait between 10 and 20 grams will be a good choice. No need for a reinforced spinner, therefore one designed for black bass will be ideal, especially from the brand
Strike King which is very well known.
You can add a trailer on the single hook, for example a crawfish which could further slow the descent, that you can find in the
soft pikeperch lure section.
