Backleads are carp leads, but which are not used to cast or hook fish. Back leads are used to force the line to sink, to avoid any mishap with a surface banner: that boats do not take the thread, or that drifting grass and branches do not move the lead by drifting. There are two kinds of back lead: captive back leads and flying backleads. The captives are attached by a thread to the rod support, they sink the banner after about 5 meters of string and therefore 5 meters from the edge, they detach on hooking and are perfect to avoid edge boats. The Flying back leads are placed at the other end, not far from the lead, they stay on the line and mainly serve to sink the line on the side of the assembly. The best-known back leads are the
