When fishing at rest, particularly for carp, one can place their rods either on single stakes, or on buzz bars held by single stakes, or on a rod pod, which is a complete rod holder with legs to generally hold 2 buzz bars, a front and a rear, in order to place all of their rods on it. A rod pod is usually made up of 3 or 4 legs, on which a central bar holds 2 buzz bars to place the rods. Different options are appreciable depending on the fishing conditions. Being able to extend the central bar to place long rods with the ring behind the detector, adjustable or optional feet to lift the rod tips to the sky in case of obstacles on the edge or current are the main requests of carpists. Finally, the weight and speed of assembly are to be appreciated according to the willingness of each to make quick and/or remote fishing from the vehicle. The better-known models are the Fox rod pods Horizon or Fox Mk2, the Carp Spirit rod pods Blax, as well as the Prologic rod pods and the Prowess rod pods.
