The 580 concept:
Costa Del Mar's patented 580TM polarizing lenses and polycarbonate block yellow light spectra close to 580TM nanometers. Indeed, yellow spectra are the most strenuous for one's vision. They also limit the blue spectrum to decrease the sensation of "blur". On the contrary, the 580TM increases the visual volume of red and green, resulting in improved contrast and less visual fatigue, regardless of light conditions.

The LightWAVE 580G Lens:
The LightWAVETM 580G lens is 20% thinner and 22% lighter than competitor lenses. Virtually scratchproof, the LightWAVETM lens will provide years of perfect vision, even under the harshest conditions. 100% polarizing and 100% UV Block

The C-WALL 580P Polycarbonate:
580P polycarbonate is lighter than glass and virtually unbreakable. Even following a violent shock, 580P polycarbonate will never crack. The C-WALLTM coating applied to the 580P polycarbonate lenses increases scratch resistance, repels water, grease (especially on fingers) and dust. 100% polarizing and 100% UV Block.

Co-injected frames:
Costa frames are made with highly strong and durable TR-90 nylon. The TM-90 nylon is co-injected with HydroliteTM coating. This hypoallergenic silicone provides great comfort and prevents the glasses from slipping, even in hot and humid weather.
