La Morue est un poisson carnassier qui vie dans le nord du Océan Atlantique, ainsi que dans les mers de l’Europe et de la Baltique. C’est une espèce qui se tient en bancs et qui préfère des eaux profondes. La morue et les espèces dans cette famille se nourrissent de petits organismes marins et de poissons. La morue porte un éventail de couleurs particulier et magnifique. Outre le fait qu’il s’agit d’une espèce populaire parmi les pêcheurs, c’est aussi un poisson important dans l’économie de plusieurs pays européens. Cependant, les populations de cette espèce diminuent dans plusieurs de ses habitats naturels.
