The MITCHELL brand was born from a partnership between two watchmakers, Pons & Carpano, who wanted to diversify their business. They then developed, with fishing gear manufacturers, the first prototype of a reel before developing it over time with succeeding triumphs. It was then 1947! To pay tribute to M. Pons'main brother, Michel, his name was attributed to the first reel marketed after being americanized to MITCHELL for marketing reasons. The MITCHELL 300 fishing reel is the most iconic model of the brand. Under the French flag until 1990, MITCHELL would then come under American control. While MITCHELL now offers rods, fishing lines, lures and luggage, the brand remains an international reference in the reel market, regardless of freshwater or sea fishing practices. Recognized for its reliability, efficiency and manufacturing quality, MITCHELL fishing gear is today a reference!
