The "classic" reels for carp fishing will be front drag reels, the less powerful rear drag carp reel is reserved for less powerful fishing such as match. The spools of the front drag reels are mostly "Big Pit", which means "long distance", ie with diameter and oversized capacity. This is appreciable but not essential, especially if you want a reel for a short carp rod. But in other cases take a long distance carp reel is the norm: he who can do more can do less.
