Once you own a
carp fishing bivvy, consider some accessories that can prove very practical. Some are included with the bivvy, others are optional; not all features are available, depending on the brand and model—whether FOX, Nash, or Trakker.
Groundsheet: A good groundsheet enhances your comfort. It significantly reduces condensation, as moisture often rises from the ground. It may come with the bivvy or be sold separately. There are two main qualities, usually indicated in English: a “heavy duty” groundsheet is thicker and more durable.
Inner capsule: Adding an inner capsule to your bivvy provides an extra layer of protection against the elements and insects. It also helps maintain internal temperature and reduces condensation.
Front panel: The front of your bivvy can often be adjusted to suit weather conditions. Some fronts are fully waterproof for rainy days, while others have removable panels or windows for warmer weather.
Mosquito net: Essential during summer months, a mosquito net keeps insects out while allowing air to circulate.
