Fishing reel with aluminum mono block body, to get the necessary stiffness and resistance indispensable for this kind of reels. Kota fi shing reels are submitted to a thick oxidation process against corrosion (50 micron of thickness instead of usual 15-20 micron), and subsequently to a process of polishing and tefl on coating to give them resistance to scratch and corrosion. Sophisticated design and attention to functionality these reels have a brand new characteristic the inclinated frontal crossbar that allow to fi sherman to have easy access to spool during fi shing. Another important peculiarity, studied and designed during planning, is to give it a simple structure which allows to smoothly remove the spool, cold forged, using the key that comes with the reel, simply unscrewing some screws without removing other components and to replace it with a spare spool. Several tests, in laboratory and during fi shing, have been carried out to ensure a linear and performing drag, goal achieved using special carbon disks, moreover Kota’s drag has a double adjustment system as it can be set both using the “Preset” setting or by using the main lever for an immediate and extra adjustment. Even the non-slip handles have been carefully studied, they run on a dual system of ball bearing to reduce efforts; the ergonomic profi le changes according to poundage. Designed in collaboration with Ryobi and manufactured in Italy, all reels are marked with a serial number for traceability of the product over the time and are covered by a three-year warranty against any manufacturing defects.
