Combining some of SHIMANO's most advanced carbon technologies with studied profiles and top-quality elements, this amazing range maximises performance in terms of distance for fishermen with very sophisticated casting techniques.
If you have developed a powerful casting technique and are looking for extreme casting performance, the Ultegra XR Surf is a must-have option. Built from the most technologically advanced carbon sheets, the extra fast action of these rods gives an exceptional response of the blank after loading and converts the energy of your casts into speed of movement, greatly increasing the accessible distance. Available in many versions, whatever the Ultegra XR Surf you choose, you can be sure that you will maximise your long-distance casting potential.
The extreme long distance casting performance of the Ultegra XR Surf is generated by the combination of a selection of advanced SHIMANO carbon technologies. The Full Carbon high modulus blank also contains Spiral X and Hi-Power X exclusive technologies which significantly reduce the blank's twisting under tension and increase the tip's speed during the cast. Available in many versions, some of which are equipped with Fuji Lowrider Alconite rings and Fuji DPS reel seats, all rods have the Shimano Cast Control Grip handle to facilitate the grip of the second hand during casting.
