This product incorporating our No-Trace system completely secures rigs made on a leadcore and similar diameter lead materials, such as the products from the Dark Matter Fused range. The system is designed so that in the event of mainline breakage above the leader knot, your rig can easily free itself from the leader, preventing the fish from trailing a rig, or worse, a lead. Even some of the safest helicopter rigs on leadcore are unable to prevent weed and debris buildup around the knot that can block the rubber bead and prevent the hook from releasing. However, this issue is easily solved thanks to the No-Trace Beads. During the fight, the bead detaches from the rubber Chod Sleeve that holds it in place on the leader during casting and under normal fishing conditions; it’s slit allows it to be ejected from the leader, and the size 11 Ring Swivel (not supplied with this system) can then move freely on any splice or leadcore knot. On the lead side, a Barrel Bead serves as a stopper.
The complete system is easy to rig on a leader and can be used just as well with chod rigs as with traditional helicopter rigs such as the Heli-Safe system.
Each chod/leadcore safety system contains: 8 Chod Sleeves, 8 Barrel Beads and 12 No-Trace Beads.
