Attached directly to the main line, the naked chod rig is an incredibly effective setup, particularly when you do not want to probe the bottom for fear of scaring away fish in your swim. Your bait will always be presented in a way that it can be seized by the carp, even if it lands on a weed bed. Far more discreet than a setup with a leader line, it's ideal for waters where leader usage is prohibited.
The Naked Chod Safety System provides the perfect solution for making this setup in a simple, quick, and efficient way. Excluding the Ring Swivel or the QC Ring Swivel size 11, it includes all the necessary components. The system features a Rubber Barrel Bead that is placed near the weight and clamps the ring swivel with the Chod Sleeve. Both components are provided on metal filaments that allow them to be threaded very easily onto the line and to be placed above the weight, at a location determined by the type of debris on the bottom. Once the hard plastic No-Trace Bead is placed on the Chod Sleeve, the ring swivel can't move back up the line beyond the sleeve. In case of breaking your main line above the Chod Sleeve, the No-Trace bead, thanks to its slot, easily ejects from the sleeve to release the swivel and lets the fish swim away with the lead-free line.
Each Naked Chod Safety System includes: 3 Chod Sleeves, 3 Barrel Beads and 12 No Trace Beads.
