Pure power in a compact body, that's what predator fishermen can expect from the SG6 BC reel, available in sizes 100 and 250. This stylish reel was designed to excel in the use of small and large lures, thanks to its lightweight design and finely adjusted parts, giving you maximum versatility. The compact and ergonomic body, equipped with an aluminum frame and robust side plates, gives the angler great leverage to fight the biggest fish, while the unique Line-ID feature allows you to mark the line you are fishing with to be always operational.
Features : • Body and side plates in EDP painted aluminum • Precise drag knob • Separate stainless steel spool • External centrifugal drag • DuraGrease • 5+1 steel ball bearings • Soft-touch rubber handle knob • Max drag: 12lbs • Worm Gear in brass • Two available ratios • Line-ID • Dragclicker (ratchet drag) • Hinged side plates on size 100
The adjustment of the weights on casting reels in size 100 is done by opening the side plate. The weights slide a few millimeters along their guide (there is a notch). By moving the weights away from the spool axis, we increase the centrifugal force and the spool rotates more freely. A too free spool can cause a runaway of rotation leading to a "bird's nest." The weights must therefore be moved according to the inertia of the lure, the wind conditions, and the skill of the angler. In general, we balance the weights. There are therefore four positions: * No weight engaged * Two opposite weights engaged * Three weights engaged in triangle * All weights engaged
On sizes 250, the centrifugal brake system is magnetic. By turning the notched knob located opposite the handle, a series of small magnets are moved closer to or farther from the spool. In zero position, the spool is completely free, in position 10 it is very braked. The angler, according to his skill, the aerodynamics of the lure or the direction of the wind can thus finely adjust the rotation braking of the spool, maximizing casting distances while reducing the risk of "bird's nests".
