UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) means Ultraviolet Protection Factor. It is the fabric's ability to prevent and repel the harmful effects of ultraviolet rays (UV-A, UV-B or UV-C). UPF has several ranks of protection indicated by a number: 20, 30, 50 and 50+. Currently, UPF50+ is the highest existing certification. This means that the garment protects the covered areas up to 98% against UV-A and UV-B radiation. (barely 2% of UVA and UVB rays get through.)
Features: • Sun protective hood, with mesh sides for optimal ventilation • Integrated neck gaiter, OPEX model • Hood drawstring for windy conditions. • Loose fit, to allow better air circulation between the fabric and your skin, ensuring great comfort. • MESH : part mesh for maximum ventilation, reducing the feeling of heat, and allowing faster moisture wicking. • THUMBHOLES: you will use your t-shirt in classic long sleeve version or in "thumbhole" version in order to protect the tops of your hands from the sun.
