The Slash Beat is a jig developed for vertical fishing under the boat. Its elongated profile and the distribution of its weight towards the tail gives it a fast descent speed and therefore makes it an ideal jig for fishing important depths. Nevertheless it is capable of fishing at a low speed and is particularly suited to slow jigging type animations.
