Developed by SATAN SHIMADA, prostaff for EVERGREEN and MADNESS, the BALAM is a new generation of Big Bait designed to meet specific techniques. Its multi-section articulated body lends it a fluidity unparalleled for this size of lures and allows for ultra-high speed retrieval without dislodging to imitate a fleeing fish and trigger aggression reflexes. During pauses (Dead Sticking) and jerky slow recovery, its body produces a very natural movement that helps to fool the wariness of educated fish. The BALAM has particularly stood out on the enormous Japanese Bass with the famous "Eight Trap", a technique initially developed for the Musky and in which the BALAM excels. This hypnotic technique involves triggering follower fish at the boat by simulating a surface hunt by producing an 8 (Figure Eight) at high speed to create maximum turbulence.

The BALAM is available in 2 sizes: 300 and 245 mm, it can also be used weighted by adding a pear lead to the head eyelet to fish deeper, especially for pike hunting. To fish with the BALAM, SATAN SHIMADA uses the Evergreen Actaeon Magnum and Actaeon Magnum EX rods.
