The Cod is a predatory fish that lives in the north of the Atlantic Ocean, as well as in the seas of Europe and the Baltic. It is a species that schools and prefers deep waters. Cod and species in this family feed on small marine organisms and fish. The cod carries a particular and magnificent array of colours. Besides the fact that it is a popular species among fishermen, it is also an important fish in the economy of several European countries. However, the populations of this species are decreasing in several of its natural habitats.
