The original Korda Longshank X was based on the original and popular fly hook models, which were appreciated by carp fishermen due to their shape and hooking ability - we have made them much stronger and sharper.
Twenty years later, DF has further improved this ultimate hook for carp fishing. Heavily influenced by his underwater experiences, Dan decided to make two major changes to one of his favourite models, making it an even deadlier option in his arsenal.
The first modification was to equip the hook with a beak-shaped point. During tests, the beak point provided better hook hold, thus significantly increasing the hooked fish / landed fish ratio. The other change was to turn the eye even more inward. The original model has a 20-degree turned eye, the new beak version increases this degree to 40 degrees. This allows the hook to turn very quickly in the carp's mouth, thus ensuring a good hold of the hook.
In keeping with the original model, the Longshank Beaked is forged, with a higher wire gauge for greater strength, while maintaining its durability thanks to a PTFE coating. Available in sizes 2, 4, 6, and 8, with or without barb, with ten hooks per pack.
