The DTD brand began with a passion for the sea and fishing. There was a strong belief that its creators could use their own knowledge, quality materials, and a lot of work to create effective fishing gear. It all started with fish harpoons. Why fish with harpoons? It's quite simple; squid fishing and harpoon fishing were their two favorite fishing techniques. This also explains why the DTD jig is extremely well-known for egging. The idea of a company began in response to positive reactions after they had manufactured a few pieces for friends and family who fished in the same way. After that, the new products came one by one and 28 years later, DTD has 90 employees and 3,600 different products. The quality and catching capability of the products was too good a story to only exist in DTD's native country, Croatia, and the brand is now exported to more than 40 countries. DTD searches for the best possible solution while always thinking about quality. Manufacturing fishing gear involves many different materials and precise work. Most of the materials come from Europe; for example plastic from Germany, metals from Austria and the Czech Republic, glue and phosphorescent pigments from Austria, fiberglass from Serbia, sheets from Slovenia, wood from Croatia, and electronic components from South Korea... Behind each product, there are hundreds of hours spent meeting with fishermen, hundreds of hours sitting in front of a computer, and even more time spent testing prototypes.
