Musta Michelin is a modern and lightweight wading shoe with a reinforced TPU ballistic polyester base. The TPU printing is designed to provide good wear resistance without making it too bulky and heavy. The shoe is easy to put on and take off. The sole and the front bumper of the Michelin sole are sewn under the shoe.
The Michelin sole we have designed with the world-renowned Michelin tire manufacturer offers many advantages over many other rubber soles.
The front bumper is integrated into the outsole, so it is impossible to separate them. The sole pattern is inspired by the Michelin LTX A/S tire with a targeted modification for wading. The patterns on the sides have aggressive carvings to give you additional grip for trails and muddy paths. The patterns in the middle are wave-shaped slats for grip and adaptability on uneven rock surfaces. The carvings on the front and heel are designed to withstand wear during long walks and their pattern adds traction when necessary. For extremely slippery and slimy conditions, we have left positions for our tungsten studs, which we can add if necessary.
The rubber compound itself is a mix of Scandinavian all-terrain winter tire compounds. Just like the studless winter tires on snow soles, they provide very good grip on rocks. The more pressure you exert, the tighter the surface of the rock, the soft compound with the interlocking spikes adapts to the uneven surface.
Thus, in addition to better grip, the shoe provides a better feel when wading. The supple and well-adapted outsole, combined with the flexible EVA midsole, allows you to feel what you have under the shoe, but at the same time, it gives you sufficient support, even in the most difficult conditions.
