The Hoverjet is a multifunctional surface lure, with its aerodynamic shape it is designed to launch like a ball. When its flaps are closed, the Hoverjet works as a stickbait by evaluating from left to right at the surface of the water effortlessly. With its flaps open, the Hoverjet transforms into a prop-bait, the flaps rotate like a propeller producing a splash noise and a wide trail of bubbles. The Hoverjet can also be used by jerking it violently and then pausing to create a loud noise that will bring fish from afar. It is possible to quickly close or open the flaps to fool a fish that has come to the lure but is suspicious or not determined to attack, the Hoverjet switches from stickbait to prop-bait in the blink of an eye.
