Animation for unweighted LE "TATAKI" squid jigs!
The TATAKI is used in drift to prospect a vast area. Generally, you will have more chances near rocks, seaweed and wrecks, areas rich in food for cuttlefish and squid.

Mount the squid jigs in dropper loops, tying them directly to the main line with a knot. Spacing them 20 cm apart, you can mount 2 to 5 of them this way. At the terminal, choose a weighted or vertical jig, depending on the current. The size of the squid jigs used can range from 5 cm to 10 cm.

The animation remains simple and effective. It involves vibrating the rig in different water layers to find the squid school. Start near the bottom by literally shaking your rod for about ten seconds. The squid jigs then mimic a school of panic-stricken fish. Stop the animation and wait a few seconds. It is during this pause that cephalopods usually attack. If you don't get any hits, raise your rig a few meters and start over. By repeating this operation up to the surface, you thus precisely exploit each water layer.

The catch of a cuttlefish will be mainly near the bottom. The squid will have a stronger fight than that of the cuttlefish. Strike firmly but bring your catch back delicately so as not to tear the fragile tentacles.

You can attach the squid jigs to the main line with a 1 or 2 cm loop. The animation of the squid jigs will then be wider and slower.
