With a natural shape, the Slit Shad presents an almost triangular body whose flat back is slit lengthwise to camouflage the hook point during Texas rigging or to properly centre a lead head. A ventral groove, ideally proportioned, is also provided to facilitate the offset hooks sliding during hooking, without harming the hook hold during animation, even when forcing through obstacles or in "skipping".

The caudal peduncle has been skillfully designed to offer great mobility and optimal vibratory intensity. Before it narrows, it has at its base two articulation zones that will amplify its beats and transmit them to the entire lure. The effect of "rolling" obtained at each pull is really seductive.
The caudal termination of the Slit Shad Evo is thin and flat with an oval shape that offers immediate action, even at very low speed. By increasing the recovery rate, the tail pulses will increase and propagate powerful low-frequency waves, identifiable from a long distance. This progressive mobility makes the Slit Shad Evo superior as it maintains an unrivaled stability in all situations.
