In practice, the R4 will signal the slightest sign of activity from a carp playing with your assembly in any environment. Numerous settings are available and even when the tip of your rods are cluttered with a diversion of weeds or violent waves, the R4 will always signal everything that needs to be.
Roller Wheel Sensing The R4's factory setting relies on detecting line movements through the detector wheel. Speed Sensing technology is most interesting for the smallest line movements during winter fishing or obstacle fishing in tight brake mode.
Speed Sensing Two speed detection levels respond to a line movement acceleration of 1 cm and 2 cm per second to eliminate false touches. Both settings are also equipped with the innovative Drift Sensing Safeguar technology.
Wave Sensing Wave Sensing technology applies to two detection parameters to eliminate false touches caused by waves or when fishing from a boat. The touch detection is initiated by a faster movement than 1 cm or 2 cm per second and after 15 or 30 cm of line movement forward or backward. The two detection parameters are also equipped with the innovative Drift Sensing Safeguard technology.
Drift Sensing Safeguard Another major technological innovation is the Drift Sensing Safeguard which eliminates false touches when there is an accumulation of drift weed on the line. This technology complements other technologies, particularly the Speed Sensing system for optimized detection.
Guiding Light The Homecoming Mode is a major benefit of the R4 - designed specifically for boat fishermen, an LED behind the detector, once lit, creates a brightly lit landmark allowing you to return to your post after a battle or deploying an assembly in the middle of the night using a boat.
Night Glo To complete the launch of the revolutionary R4 detector, the new Night Glo emitter range connects directly to the R4's body via the dedicated exit through a "Night Glo Bobbin" or "Swing Arm" head. The indicator heads are color-coordinated with the R4 detector LEDs with an additional option for black heads with a white LED glow.
Drop Back Sensing All R4 sensitivity settings are equipped with an alert for drop back touches, with a decreasing tone.
