The Torium is the flagship of Shimano's star drag revolving drum reel range, with a mid-range price tag. The light and compact construction and the high 6.2:1 ratio allow you to use the Torium for a wide range of methods, including jigging, bottom fishing, and even casting of large lures and leads. If you're looking for a reliable and performing small revolving drum reel from Shimano, the Torium is an excellent option and offers exceptional versatility for a wide range of fishing methods. Available with left and right crank options, the quick retrieve is ideal if you're a fan of deep water or squid fishing, with more than enough strength to overcome the biggest bottom predators. You can also pair it with a lighter rod for slow jigging or even casting with lures and larger ones. As soon as you hold the Torium, you can feel the manufacturing quality produced by the lightweight HAGANE body. It is sturdy and resistant, while being very compact thanks to the S Compact housing design. In fact, its visual size belies the power and line capacity of this perfectly formed super-fast multiplier. With a ratio of 6.2:1, all sizes except the smallest size 14 retrieve well over one meter of line per turn. Thanks to the large Cross Carbon Drag brake washers, adjusted by the Star Drag, the Torium has an 11 kg brake, making it an ideal partner for all pelagic fish, except the largest ones.
