The Talica and the Talica II (2 speeds) are compact, lightweight lever reel systems, designed to be used with braided line. Incredibly versatile, the Talica has a massive drag system and a winding power to conquer the biggest fish. Don't be deceived by the compact stature and lightweight of the Talica, this reel is a beast. Originally designed to cast bait and lures for surface feeding species such as marlin and tuna, the Talica can also be used for jigging and bottom fishing with a braid. Based on a compact reel design, which means less weight, smaller dimensions and easier handling than large spinning reels, the Talica is truly a dream reel. Fitted with a super-strong aluminium frame, with an advanced E.I. finish for corrosion resistance, the compact format fits perfectly in the hand. The watertight drag offers remarkable power and can be instantly set using the easily accessible lever; while the 6 shielded A-RB bearings, brass gears and aluminium spool guarantee operation that's as smooth as you would expect from a premium Shimano reel.
