The very popular Zodias is part of the exclusive Shimano JDM range and combines advanced design, fast actions and cutting-edge carbon technology with an affordable mid-range price. This visually impressive range opens up numerous possibilities for the serious lure angler.
Originally designed and developed in Japan for black bass fishing, you will instantly recognize how well the Zodias is suited to fishing for light and medium European predators. Light in hand and wonderfully balanced, the inclusion of Shimano's exclusive Monocoque handle enhances feel and responsiveness, transmitting every strike and movement directly into your hand. Yet, when you hook a fish, the hidden power really comes into its own, providing control and maneuverability in equal measure.
Shimano's Hi-Power X technology is at the heart of the Zodias rods and increases energy transfer through the rod, for increased casting accuracy and distance, as well as reduced blank twist for better control during fights. The inclusion of a Carbon Monocoque rear grip and a custom-designed CI4+ reel seat increases sensitivity, providing remarkable feedback when in use. High-quality Fuji guides further add to the quality of this high-performance range. The ULS2 model features a TAFTEC ALPHA carbon tip for extreme sensitivity. From the lightest Ultra Light Spinning models, perfect for Drop Shot fishing and light lures, to high-action Casting models designed for heavy shads, Crankbaits and Spinner Baits, there are 7 Spinning models and 6 Casting models to cover all your fishing activities.
