The Shakespeare SALT XT Uptide rod is a unique rod for its price. By using the highest quality carbon, the thin blanks are responsive while being very powerful and strong. The rod is specifically designed to be able to cast heavy weights far from the boat, but the sensitive tip allows for perfect bite detection. The special short and long tip section gives a perfect bend over the entire blank and maintains the strength in the butt section.
