Tomy's lifelong fascination with fish has given him an unparalleled understanding of their behaviour. Whether it's keeping fish in tanks, diving with wild fish, or fishing for them, Tomy has become obsessed with developing artificial baits that better mimic the natural food of predatory fish.
First created in 2015, Tomy's Original Perch is perhaps his most famous lure. Developed to mimic a small perch, which in many places, is an important part of the diet of predatory fish. The Original Perch showcases Tomy's attention to detail in pursuit of the most realistic design possible. Pushing the boundaries of handmade lure design through continuous development, the Original Perch is now at the pinnacle of lure design.
The dynamic shape of the Original Perch was further refined by the addition of external fins to give it a more realistic look. The design of the paddle tail of the Original Perch, curved upward, has become a hallmark of Tomy's lures and gives them a unique action.
