If you are looking for a mid-priced high tech casting reel, capable of maximizing the casting performance of medium and light-weight lures, while having the necessary power to face off against powerful fish, the Curado MGL will be your ideal reel. The hard choice you will have to make will be to choose the 150/151 model or the 71 model, more compact, which also offers a range of different speeds. Both are superb and contain the same competition-tested technology, including the excellent MGL spool for optimal casting performance. It's a matter of determining which size will best fit your fishing. In summary, you really can't go wrong with a Curado MGL. The combination of the HAGANE aluminum lightweight body, Micromodule gear and the X-SHIP gives the Curado MGL durability, reliability and performance. In fact, this technological line is also found on Shimano's high-end reels, which means you get a lot of the reel for this investment. But it's the MGL spool that distinguishes this model from the others. It requires less energy while casting, which translates into longer casts and the ability to use light lures more efficiently.
