Built on the very exclusive SLP Super Low Profile, the brand's sleekest profile, the Hypermag is also one of the lightest reels from Lew’s, weighing just 5.4 ounces. The HyperMag Baitcaster features a magnesium monocoque body, C45 carbon side plates, and a premium bearing system with 11 double-wall stainless steel bearings and a Zero reverse one-way bearing. The mechanisms are anodized aluminum. This reel’s compact size has been made possible by using a very innovative 32mm spool, made from aerospace-grade Duralumin, allowing it to start and accelerate faster than larger spools, better utilizing thinner line bodies and lighter lures, without compromising performance or power; it is therefore compatible with all Black bass fishing techniques.
