The Baitrunner Ci4+ XTB-LC is considered by many to be the ultimate Shimano Baitrunner reel. The legendary name, the ease of use of the Freespool function, the large spool with a perfect winding line, and the Ci4+ construction to save weight, all of this is perfectly combined in a superb reel.
If you're looking for a long-distance fishing reel with an easy-to-use Shimano freespool function, the Baitrunner LC is the reel for you, and this version is made from Shimano's exclusive ultra-light Ci4+ composite. The weight saving is remarkable for a reel of this size and allows you to maximize speed during casts, resulting in greater casting distances. The refined design of the reel is fantastic and, in use, the freespool function is flawless. If you fish in reasonably small or medium-sized environments, a "medium" size version is also available.
In the hand, Shimano's largest Baitrunner feels incredibly light. But there is more to this reel than its remarkable lightness. The internal HAGANE gear and the X-SHIP ensure smooth rotation with tremendous winding power. The large AR-C aluminum spool, which is comparable in size to a "Big Pit" reel, benefits from Slow Speed oscillation combined with Aero Wrap, which results in perfect winding. There is Shimano's top X-Protect water protection and the Instant Drag function which makes it easy and precise to adjust the brake during fishing. In fact, it is remarkable that so many technologies have been so well combined in a single reel. And if that's not enough, the reel comes with a spare spool and a complete set of capacity reducers.
