Every year, nearly 640,000 tonnes of used fishing nets pollute our oceans, posing a constant and damaging threat to wildlife and flora.

In partnership with the Bureo association, which works alongside professional fishermen in Chile, Costa Sunglasses continues its commitment to ocean protection by designing the “Untangled” collection, polarized sunglasses made from recycled fishing nets.

The "Untangled" collection includes ten models (including five different styles), equipped with 580™ polarized mineral lenses. All components of these models are recyclable, from the frame to the lens, including the non-slip or the aluminium Costa tag.

Features:
• 580™ POLARIZING TECHNOLOGY : Costa's patented 580™ polarizing lenses block 100% of UV A and B, as well as harmful blue light and yellow light, whose frequency approaches 580 nanometers (most tiring for the eyes). On the contrary, they enhance red, blue and green to improve contrasts and reduce visual fatigue, whatever the lighting conditions.
• MINERAL GLASS LENSES : mineral lenses offer scratch resistance and unparalleled vision quality.
• RECYCLED NYLON FRAME : the nylon frame is made from recycled fishing nets.
• NON-SLIP PLUS foam® : anti-slip pads made from recyclable foam.
• RECYCLED ALUMINIUM LOGO : and treated to resist corrosion.

• PESCADOR : L, suited for wide faces.
