The 580 concept:
Costa Del Mar's patented polarizing glasses and ‘’580TM’’ polycarbonate block yellow light spectra whose frequency approaches 580TM nanometers. Indeed, yellow spectra are the most tiring for sight. They also limit the blue spectrum to decrease the sensation of ‘’blur’’. Conversely, the 580TM increases the visual volume of red and green with the consequences of an improvement in contrast and less visual fatigue, whatever the light conditions.

The LightWAVE 580G glass:
The LightWAVETM 580G glass is 20% thinner and 22% lighter than other glasses offered by our competitors. Virtually scratch-resistant, the LightWAVETM glass will give you years of perfect vision, even in the harshest of use conditions. 100% polarizing and 100% UV Block

The C-WALL 580P polycarbonate:
The 580P polycarbonate is lighter than glass and virtually unbreakable. Even after a violent shock, the 580P polycarbonate will never crack. The C-WALLTM coating applied to the 580P polycarbonate glasses increases scratch resistance, repels water, grease (particularly present on fingers) and dust. 100% polarizing and 100% UV Block.

Co-injected frames:
Costa frames are made with the extremely strong and durable TR-90 nylon. The TM-90 nylon is co-injected with the HydroliteTM coating. This hypoallergenic silicone provides great comfort and keeps glasses from slipping, even in hot and humid weather.
