The 580 concept:
The lenses and patented '580TM' polarizing polycarbonate from Costa Del Mar block yellow light spectra whose frequency is close to 580TM nanometres. Indeed, yellow spectra are the most tiring for the eyes. They also limit the blue spectrum in order to reduce the sensation of 'blurriness'. Conversely, the 580TM increases the visual volume of red and green, resulting in improved contrasts and less visual fatigue, regardless of the light conditions.

The LightWAVE 580G Glass:
The LightWAVETM 580G lens is 20% thinner and 22% lighter than other lenses offered by our competitors. Virtually scratch-proof, LightWAVETM glass will give you years of perfect vision, even under the harshest conditions. 100% polarizing and 100% UV Block

The C-WALL 580P Polycarbonate:
The 580P polycarbonate is lighter than glass and virtually unbreakable. Even after a severe impact, the 580P polycarbonate will not crack. The C-WALLTM coating applied on the 580P polycarbonate lenses increases scratch resistance, repels water, grease (especially present on fingers) and dust. 100% polarizing and 100% UV Block.

Co-injected frames:
Costa frames are made with extremely strong and durable TR-90 nylon. TM-90 nylon is co-injected with HydroliteTM coating. This hypoallergenic silicone provides great comfort and prevents glasses from slipping, even in hot and humid weather.
