The 580 concept:
Costa Del Mar's patented ''580TM'' polarizing lenses and polycarbonate block yellow light spectra whose frequency approaches 580TM nanometers. Indeed, yellow spectrums are the most tiring for vision. They also limit the blue spectrum to decrease the feeling of ''blur''. On the contrary, the 580TM increases the visual volume of red and green with the consequence of improved contrast and less visual fatigue, whatever the light conditions.

LightWAVE 580G glass:
LightWAVETM 580G glass is 20% thinner and 22% lighter than other lenses offered by our competitors. Almost unscratchable, LightWAVETM glass will give you years of perfect vision, even in the harshest conditions of use. 100% polarizing and 100% UV Block

C-WALL 580P Polycarbonate:
The 580P polycarbonate is lighter than glass and virtually unbreakable. Even after a severe shock, the 580P polycarbonate can never crack. The C-WALLTM coating, applied on the 580P polycarbonate lenses, increases scratch resistance, repels water, grease (especially present on fingers) and dust. 100% polarizing and 100% UV Block.

Co-injected frames:
Costa frames are made with the extremely strong and durable TR-90 nylon. The TM-90 nylon is co-injected with the HydroliteTM coating. This hypoallergenic silicone provides great comfort and prevents glasses from slipping, even in hot and humid weather.
