The 580 concept:
The patented "580TM" polarizing lenses and polycarbonate of Costa Del Mar block the yellow light spectrums whose frequency approaches 580TM nanometres. Indeed, yellow spectrums are the most fatigue-inducing for the eyes. They also limit the blue spectrum to decrease the sensation of "blur". Conversely, 580TM increases the visual volume of red and green, improving contrasts and resulting in less eye fatigue, regardless of light conditions.

The LightWAVE 580G lens :
The LightWAVETM 580G glass is 20% thinner and 22% lighter than other lenses offered by our competitors. Virtually unscratchable, the LightWAVETM glass will give you years of perfect vision, even in the harshest usage conditions. 100% polarizing and 100% UV Block

The C-WALL 580P polycarbonate :
The 580P polycarbonate is lighter than glass and virtually unbreakable. Even after a severe shock, the 580P polycarbonate will not crack. C-WALLTM coating applied to 580P polycarbonate lenses enhances scratch resistance, repels water, grease (especially present on fingers) and dust. 100% polarizing and 100% UV Block.

Co-injected frames :
Costa frames are made with extremely strong and durable TR-90 nylon. TM-90 nylon is co-injected with HydroliteTM coating. This hypoallergenic silicone delivers great comfort and prevents glasses from slipping, even in hot, humid weather.
