The Makra Trek SF Extra GTX is the ideal shoe for long hikes and multi-day outings with a heavy backpack. What are its characteristics? HANWAG uses for this model its StraightFit Extra shape. It combines the generous and wide toe box of the StraightFit shape, which allows the big toe to be in a straight position, with extra space in the forefoot and in the forefoot area of the Wide shape. It's therefore perfect for people who have a wider forefoot or who want more space for their big toes. Despite the width of the toe box, the middle of the foot is always firmly wrapped to ensure perfect support on more difficult terrain. The optimized ghilly lacing of the shoe, which passes through textile loops up to the toe area, ensures a secure fit at the front of the foot and good overall stability. The HANWAG 2 Zone Lock with mechanical lace locking improves the hold at the heel level. Unlike conventional clamping hooks, the mechanical lace lock remains fixed and cannot slide, unless manually adjusted. The proven "Makra fit" wraps the foot for exceptional power transfer. This way, the foot and shoe form one and the same unit from heel to toe. The StraightFit Extra shape is combined with a shock-absorbing PU midsole. The Vibram Trekking SF sole, with its large contact surface, ensures robustness and stability. Thanks to the waterproof GORE-TEX membrane, this boot keeps your feet dry in wet weather. The Perwanger suede upper is sturdy, breathable, and durable.
