The Ferrata Tour GTX is a multi-functional mountaineering shoe designed to perform on rock, ice, and snow. Whether high mountain routes on mixed terrain or easier hikes with glacial sections, this crampon-compatible shoe with customizable volume adjustment particularly appeals with its HANWAG TubeTec Rock sole technology.
The Ferrata Tour GTX is a partner you can rely on. This high-altitude shoe combines rock, ice and snow climbing performance with optimal hiking comfort. Its versatile and multifunctional nature makes it ideal for mixed-terrain mountaineering hikes, but also for less demanding mountaineering hikes with glacial sections. The HANWAG TubeTec Rock sole technology is specifically designed to meet the demands of mountaineering. The HANWAG TubeTec Rock midsole benefits from the very latest technological advances. The soft PU is wrapped in a robust TPU shell to guarantee comfort on ascents and descents, as well as exceptional performance on rock, ice and snow. The flexible TPU "tube" protects the softer, cushioning polyurethane part. The TPU ribs and internal reinforcements ensure precise and stable walking. The outsole excels with its Vibram Integral Light pattern, while the reinforced heel and the proven Vibram Mont compound ensure excellent traction on mountain descents. In addition, the reinforced climbing zone in TPU at the front of the sole provides perfect stability at the big toe. What distinguishes this crampon-compatible shoe? The lower part of the upper is made of classic leather for a perfect fit, combined with a flexible, highly abrasion-resistant polyamide collar reinforced with PU threads. This stable, flexible upper allows the necessary ankle flexibility for precise placement on rock. For mountaineering, the toe area benefits from additional insulation. An additional layer of GORE-TEX Duratherm insulation technology ensures maximum thermal insulation. Thanks to its additional footbed, this shoe allows you to adjust the fit and volume accordingly. The Alpine Wide shape provides more space at the front of the foot for more comfort, without sacrificing precision and climbing performance.
