Heavy, long and thin pencil, as if it were a "stick" equipped with hooks, very effective even when fish are selective. Fishing with these lures is straightforward, just cast and retrieve. At the mouths of estuaries, they are very effective when casting upstream rather than downstream. They are ideal for a slow or very slow retrieval, thanks to a linear retrieval, which means the lure hardly moves, only producing a small tail movement (the lure makes no noise), with an astonishing naturalness. Predators will attack it without hesitation. It can also be manipulated by making lateral jerks, thus producing a zigzag movement on the surface of the water like a sinking walker.
