The Slash Beat is a jig designed for vertical fishing under the boat. Its elongated profile and the distribution of its weight towards the tail provide it with a fast descent speed, making it an ideal jig for fishing deep bottoms. However, it is capable of fishing at low speed and is particularly suited to slow jigging type animations.
