Strap for treating pet wounds, the SureKlot strap is a bioactive haemostatic dressing. It operates on a unique mucoadhesive mechanism based on the electric charge that forms a mechanical barrier over the bleeding area. The manufacturing technology is not an impregnated compress, but is 100% chitosan, without powder residues or thermal reaction. NATURAL POLYSACCHARIDE made up of glucosamine and N-acetyl glucosamine nanomers = cationic (+Ve) charged Chitosan. The chitosan has been treated to lose its acidic charge (6.4 PH) for a physiological PH (7.4 PH). Its removal is very easy with water, so always protect it from moisture and water with the most possible waterproof dressing like all chitosan impregnated or not devices (100%).
This is a new generation of Indian haemostatic device, with revolutionary PBT Protonated Bioadhesive Technology design (innovation award 2024 in India). These preparations are unique in that they stick to tissues when necessary and easily detach when their job is done.
The strap is easy to use thanks to its flexibility (no cardboard effect). It stops minor to major bleeding and it can be hand torn, folded, rolled and also inserted into the wound.
These bandages are recommended in surgery, trauma when you are faced with diffuse, sheet or cavity bleeding (packing method) but also for the treatment of external, fresh or necrotic wounds.
