The lightweight and durable design of the Averon has been carefully crafted to blend performance, functionality and long-term reliability in a stylish large arbor design. Spools benefit from an open or closed design depending on the size. The half-cage design is used when lightening and quick change of the spools are essential, and the full-cage design is offered on the 5000 EN and 9000 models, when thin or euro nymph-type fly lines are used. For over 150 years, Hardy has been at the forefront of reel design and this new addition is built according to the same rigorous standards and the same passion for innovation.
